Summarise an IPL match without losing the context
A useful match summary identifies the fixture, innings, status and result or current target. A single score number rarely explains the whole situation.
Start with identity
Name the teams and fixture date, then state whether the match is scheduled, in progress, interrupted or finished. Check that all details come from the same match rather than combining a preview with an older result.

Add the right numbers
For a live innings, give runs, wickets and overs, plus the current target during a chase. For a finished match, use the official result and margin. Convert over notation correctly and retain revised-condition context.
Keep examples distinct
An illustrative score used to explain arithmetic should be labelled as an example. A projection or prediction is not an actual final total. Check the competition source before presenting a summary as current.
A useful next step
